A to Z Challenge – G (WR)

It’s April again and that means it’s time for the A to Z challenge and this year, my theme for the A to Z Challenge is characters and narrators.

G is for Gumshoe (detectives)

Gumshoe – this reminds me of Humphrey Bogart, sucking on his cigarette as Sam Spade.  Where would all of those dewy-eyed dames with fabulous hats and echoing high heels be without our hardnosed detectives or private eyes?  Who knows, maybe it would be worthwhile to write about one of those silver-screen ladies solving crimes – I don’t know about you, but I love a good change-up now and then.

Favorite gumshoes:

• Veronica Mars (All the snark, smarts, and ingenuity make her my absolute, all-time favorite gumshoe of all time)
• Sam Spade (from the Maltese Falcon, and OMG if you haven’t watched this movie, you need to)
• Stephanie Plum (Okay, technically she’s a bounty hunter, but there’s a lot of detective work involved.  Plus, she’s hilarious.)
• Aimée Leduc (Not only is she an awesome, high-heel wearing private investigator, through her adventures, we also see bits of Paris!  It’s a win-win, people)
