A to Z Challenge – E (WR)

EIt’s April again and that means it’s time for the A to Z challenge and this year, my theme for the A to Z Challenge is characters and narrators.

E is for Enigma

Ah yes enigmas, we’re never sure about them, are we?  But don’t you just love to puzzle through on a character – their backstory, motivations, and true agendas – just gobbling up the tiny breadcrumbs of information that the author leaves?  I do.

Many times in mystery novels the enigma character is the murder or criminal.  But it doesn’t always have to be that way.  My favorite enigma characters are Snape (side note:  aways) and Verbal from “The Usual Suspects.”

    1. That’s true…authors spend so much more time slowly revealing the character, that they build them to be so multifaceted and interesting. 🙂 thanks for stopping by. 🙂
