Y is for Yearning

Do you secretly love someone?  Someone that you perhaps, can’t have?  Are you filled with yearning whenever they walk into the room – a longing that you fear will never be vanquished?  Well then, my dear tender-heart, you fall into the unrequited love genre.

Luckily for romance novel heroes/heroines with yearning in their hearts, their secret crushes generally work out…much better odds than in the real world (the beauty of fiction, I suppose). 😉

I must confess that I very much enjoy books with yearning in them – especially if the yearning is done by the hero.  These yearning heroes tend to be sweeter and more romantic in their pursuit (and of course, eventual seduction) of their lady fair.
